Dr Esther Briganti

Associate Professor Esther Briganti is a Consultant Endocrinologist in private practice in East Melbourne and rural Victoria. Her main clinical interests are in medical weight loss, diabetes care including diabetes in pregnancy and use of technology in type 1 diabetes, and management of osteoporosis. She has also established a nationwide telemedicine service in specialist endocrinology and diabetes clinical consultations, as well as being active in case conferencing with primary care physicians in both metropolitan and rural Victoria.

She is a research adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, School of Public Health, at Monash University. Her research output relates mainly to epidemiology and clinical management issues, with a particular focus on diabetes, obesity, pregnancy and osteoporosis.
