Hendrik is a Cardiologist who specializes in Heart Failure management.
He graduated from the University of Melbourne and undertook Basic Physician Training at Royal Melbourne Hospital, then Advanced Training in General Medicine at the Alfred, followed by Cardiology Advanced Training at Epworth Richmond and then Flinders Medical Centre.
Hendrik did his Fellowship in Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology at The Alfred, in 2011.
He has a specific research interest in novel Heart Failure therapies, has published research work in both local and international medical journals, and currently is Principal Site Investigator of several international heart failure clinical trials at Epworth.
Hendrik’s practice is based predominantly at Epworth Richmond, where he is Associate Clinical Dean of Monash medical student teaching and a Clinical Senior Lecturer for the University of Melbourne.
Hendrik maintains strong links with The Alfred and does clinics there as well as being the visiting Heart Failure Cardiologist to St. John of God Hospital in Ballarat.
